The Founder

Meet Rodney Cooper

Rodney founded R. Cooper & Associates in 2020 after years of watching good people get handed cookie-cutter advice that didn't fit their actual lives. Entrepreneurs with uneven cash flow. Athletes with short earning windows. Business owners trying to plan an exit while still running the company.

The pattern was always the same: real situations, generic plans. So he built a firm that does it the other way around — start with the person, then shape the plan.

Today, R. Cooper & Associates serves clients across the country from its Jacksonville office, with a focus on clarity over jargon and relationships over transactions. The firm operates as an independent Registered Investment Adviser — a fiduciary obligated to put clients' interests first — broadening the toolkit available to clients while keeping the same personal approach.

Outside the office, Rodney is active in the Jacksonville business community and works with athletes navigating the unique financial pressures of a professional career.
